Tips for Brushing Dental Implants

Brushing with dental implants might seem strange until you get used to the new fixtures in your mouth, but much of the oral hygiene required is the same as for normal teeth. Your dentist might have special instructions for the healing period after your implants are in place, but after  that you will be able to brush as normal. Consider the following five tips on brushing your dental implants.

1. Use a Soft Brush

It is easy to feel that because these are dental implants, brushing needs to be more vigorous than with natural teeth. In actuality, however, dental implants are just as fragile as your regular teeth and require a gentle touch.
